Exploring Hypnosis
There was a time when people only thought of hypnosis being used in stage shows – getting a group of people together to do silly things for the amusement of those in the audience, but nowadays the use of hypnotherapy is much more main-stream with people using it to help them get over a fear of flying, give up smoking and even have a virtual gastric band operation to lose weight…
But for the uninitiated what is hypnosis and what actually happens when you are hypnotised?

How Will Your Luck Fair in 2013?
Whether you are superstitious or not, being dealt a ‘13’ can make you think you are unlucky. Most of us can go about our daily lives without necessarily bumping into the number 13; however there are times when we have no choice. Will 2013 be one of those times?
We were all thirteen once, and apart from the start of facial spots, raging hormones and the ‘I’m bored feeling’ it is pretty much like any other year. But what if you are 13 in 2013? I bet parents didn’t consider that in their family planning…

Spirit Ball Protects
In Europe in earlier centuries people wanted protection from the Evil Eye. This was done with an image of a staring eye and a small mirror; the hostile eye would see its own reflection and be defeated by evil rebounding onto itself.
However as a single mirror could only be pointed in one direction, this was not a foolproof solution, as the evil eye could enter from another direction rendering the image and mirror useless.
The solution to this problem was the witches’ ball, a coloured glass sphere that could reflect the eye from any and all directions. (more…)

There is nothing better than sitting down in front of the telly with a big tin of chocolates for a bit of indulgent laziness at Christmas time. Ancient Calendar Predicts World Ends in 2012
5125 years ago the Mayans predicted that on the 21st December 2012 the apocalypse will come to pass and the word will end!
Over time there have been many predictions that Armageddon would occur; but the 2012 phenomenon is being treated differently largely because of the connection to the Mayans who are famously wise and an advanced civilisation. The Mayans were noted for their extraordinary astronomical observations and mathematical powers; they were at their height between 250 and 900 AD; but in the present day in the Mexican state of Yucatan ad Guatemala the evidence boils to one fact – their 5125 year calendar runs out on 21st December 2012 – with many believing that if they did not take it any further, then they must have had a reason! Through The Eyes of a Child
The day is approaching and some people have been getting ready as early as October. Decoration’s hit the shops and Christmas music is being played everywhere you go.
People are being bombarded by television adverts with things to buy, and children are doing their Christmas lists. Parents not wanting to disappoint their loved ones…they just want to see their children’s faces light up with delight.
