The Akashic Records are considered to be an enormous vibrational library that keeps details of everything that we have done in this life and in previous ones, giving this information from our point of view and that of other people. It also holds records of the possible futures. These records go back to when time began. The Akashic Records are also referred to as the Book of Life, and, as such have nine entries in the Bible. Other terms used are Cosmic Mind, Universal Mind, Eye of God and Word of God. They are referred to in nearly every spiritual tradition and religion. The name Akasha comes from the Tibetan language, meaning unseen space or storage space.
It is believed that these Akashic Records are kept in the Hall of Records which has a Gate Keeper who keeps an eye on all who want to view these records to ensure that they are accessing the information for appropriate reasons. These records are kept in the Universal Mind which is information that everybody can access. People like to access these records to find out about their past lives and their potential futures. This can also enable people to understand why they are stuck in their lives, why they have specific problem relationships, what they need to do to turn their lives around and so on. Therefore it will enable individual’s lives to go more smoothly.
Everybody and every creature has their own Akashic Record and these can be accessed. Some people use guided meditation to try to connect to these records, others will see a psychic and ask them what their records say and some use prayer and intuition. Sometimes, when we get flashes of inspiration or important dreams these come from these records. It is thought that maybe many composers, inventors and so on get their inspiration from the Akashic Records when they say that the ideas just came to them, seemingly from nowhere.
Edgar Cayce is often the person most connected with the use of the Akashic Records. Cayce was the best known psychic of his time, producing amazing healing results. He said that most of his information came from the Akashic Records. He lived from 1877 to 1945 and was the founder of the Association for Research and Enlightenment Inc.
