The Light Within
There is a light within, that shines through from our heart.
But even when that light grows dim, we never lose that spark.
The spark of life, brought forth from source,
from which comes infinite resource.
It’s purity should never wain,
but life itself could take the blame,
for dimming this primeval flame.
This light is first seen in eyes of babes,
but twixt the cradle and the grave,
come many lessons, hard and harsh.
So only souls with loving hearts,
use those lessons to grow and strive
and make good use of precious life.
While others wonder ‘why oh why’?
and their light slowly dims and dies.
So friend – ask ‘why’ no longer,
then watch your light grow bright and stronger.
From sadness you will walk away
and will continue, day by day;
to walk towards acceptance, truth and light.
So that the light within will burn … forever bright.
